As a cemetery worker in the Halmstad parish, you will be part of a large team of employees who help people daily. Here, you will work practically to keep the cemetery's green environments beautiful and accessible for visitors. The Halmstad parish is responsible for the burial operations, which is the area where you will be placed. In total, we are responsible for five cemeteries around the parish, and we operate from the Western Cemetery. We strongly believe in training our staff and have well-equipped facilities for the work. Additionally, we have a modern fleet of machinery that facilitates physical work.

PERSONAL QUALITIES:

We are looking for someone with a natural feeling for working with plants and landscaping and who finds green work stimulating. You should also be educated in plant knowledge, horticulture, or equivalent qualifications that we consider comparable. It is important that you thrive in social environments where you contribute to the team as a team player who wants to help and support colleagues. It is essential that you are stress-resistant and see flexibility as fun and educational. You enjoy working independently with your own responsibilities as well as collaborating with others. We also expect you to be service-oriented and responsible, as we regularly assist grieving people at the cemetery. We work in a politically governed organization, which means we need to be loyal and accepting of decisions made.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

In the role of cemetery worker with us, you can expect exciting and varied tasks in a green environment. In addition to working with regular gardening and park maintenance (such as machinery operation, lawn mowing, trimming, hedge trimming, leaf management, and grave maintenance), we also have larger projects that develop our operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education in the green sector such as: plant knowledge, horticulturist, landscaping work, or similar qualifications that we assess as equivalent.
• Driver's license B for manual transmission. The job requires movement between workplaces on public roads.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good physical condition – required to perform the work.
• Good knowledge of modern computer environments and smartphones.
• You contribute to a pleasant atmosphere through joy and laughter in our workplace.
• You have good references from similar work.
